Job DetailsJob Location: Yakima, WA 98901Education Level: NoneSalary Range: $21.00 - $22.00 HourlyJob Shift: DaySUMMARY As a Temporary Maintenance Worker (Painter), you will assist the department with painting projects and seasonal facility upkeep. This role focuses primarily on surface preparation, painting, and finishing tasks to maintain the appearance and integrity of buildings and structures. Temporary employment is short term. The most essential tasks for which you will be responsible include: Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching. Applying paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Maintaining and repairing painted surfaces on buildings, fences, and other structures. Assisting with color matching and ensuring consistency of finishes. Safely operating and maintaining painting tools, equipment, and supplies. Following proper safety procedures, including the use of ladders, lifts, and protective equipment. Assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep. Keeping work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Completing assigned work orders accurately and efficiently. Assisting with setup and cleanup for maintenance projects. Supporting other maintenance staff on special projects when needed. Other duties as determined and assigned by the Facilities Manager. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no supervisory responsibilities required in this position. Qualifications We prefer that you have a High School Diploma or equivalent.  You must be an experienced maintenance person/mechanic with specific knowledge in painting, electricity, plumbing, and carpentry.  You must be physically capable of performing heavy work. You must hold a valid Washington State driver’s license. ACCESS TO PROTECTED HEALTH CARE INFORMATION Will have access to name and presence in the program. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the community.  Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of Sundown M Ranch requirements and Board of Directors’ policies.
