Direct Support Professionals – DAY SERVICES INSTRUCTOR (Yonkers, NY)

Join a team of creative and supportive colleagues and supervisors at The Arc Westchester, a leading non-profit Social Services provider in Westchester County.

We are seeking motivated individuals to work with people with developmental disabilities in various settings, assisting them to gain independence and meet their goals and dreams.

You must be energetic, hands on, organized and creative in order to provide safe and educational activities in various community locations throughout Westchester County.

Experience with I/DD population welcomed!

No experience? That's ok, we train on the job

Your Main Responsibilities will be:

• Provide direct support and instruction in a responsible, respectful and caring manner.
• Complete documentation according to all applicable regulations
• Maintain open communication with individuals, families, residential providers, co-workers and supervisors.
• Drive in a safe manner meeting all applicable laws and maintain vehicle in good working conditions.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Driver’s License (for at least2 years)
Ability to work the Day Shift Monday-Friday

Additional locations available: White Plains, Hawthorne, Mt. Kisco
