Project Accountant

Construction Project Accountant 

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Construction Project Accountant with at least 3 years of relevant experience in heavy-highway construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure compliance with project goals
• Perform financial analysis to assess project profitability and projected costs
• Generate financial reports, including cost tracking and variance analysis
• Collaborate with project team to ensure financial alignment with project objectives
• Utilize construction management software to enhance cost management and improve data accuracy
• Prepare financial reports for monthly estimates and change orders
• Process accounts payables and receivables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent experience 
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Proven ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a team
