Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Screening Specialist in Yonkers, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal in a commercial real estate location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, monitor activity, and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service and communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play an important part in daily site operations.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.32 - $19.32 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with property policies.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to identify unusual conditions and support security-related operations.
• Maintain accurate activity, visitor, and incident records, and provide clear directions and assistance to occupants and guests as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
