Sonic Summary

info
  • Warehaus is looking for a Civil Assistant Project Manager to assist in the planning, design, and delivery of various site development projects.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing land development plans and coordinating projects with municipalities and regulatory agencies.
  • The role involves supporting project coordination, client communication, and contributing to technical civil design work, while also managing portions of project production.
  • A competitive salary is offered along with benefits including flexible work options, medical insurance, and a 401K retirement plan with employer match.
  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D being preferred.

If you’re ready to take the next step beyond pure design—while still staying hands-on—this role offers that balance. At Warehaus, our civil team works across a wide range of land development projects, and we’re looking for someone who can support project delivery while continuing to contribute technically.

The role, at a glance

This position blends civil site design with project coordination. You’ll support Civil Project Managers with scheduling, communication, and permitting while continuing to produce plans in Civil 3D. It’s a strong fit for someone growing into project management but not ready to step away from design.

What you’ll do

  • Support Civil Project Managers in the coordination and delivery of land development projects
  • Manage portions of project production, including scheduling, task coordination, and team communication
  • Assist with permit applications and regulatory submissions
  • Participate in meetings with clients, municipalities, and project stakeholders
  • Maintain organized project documentation, files, and communication records
  • Contribute to QA/QC efforts to ensure plans meet Warehaus standards
  • Assist with scopes, budgets, schedules, and subconsultant coordination
  • Help guide junior staff and support team workflow as needed
  • Contribute to site design and plan preparation, including layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater
  • Prepare subdivision and land development plans, including E&S, PCSM, NPDES, and HOP documentation
  • Support project closeout with record drawings and final documentation

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in land development design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, surfaces, plan production)
  • Strong understanding of the land development process, from planning through permitting
  • Experience coordinating with municipalities, regulatory agencies, or review bodies
  • Exposure to project coordination, scheduling, or client communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance technical work with project coordination responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EIT certification preferred; candidates pursuing licensure encouraged

What it’s like here

  • A mix of projects—from small commercial sites to large-scale developments
  • Long-tenured leadership that supports growth and development
  • A steady workload—you’ll have real projects to jump into from day one
  • Consistently strong onboarding feedback:
    • 100% of new hires agree their first 3 months matched their expectations
    • 100% say they feel like a valued member of their team
    • 100% are satisfied with the tools and technology provided
