What You Will Get to Do
As a Senior Staff Accountant at Graham Architectural Products (GAP), a division of OBE, you’ll play a key role in driving financial accuracy, operational insight, and business success. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, support strategic initiatives, and provide data-driven insights that strengthen our business performance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly financial reports and supporting the month-end close process.
- Compiling and publishing daily revenue and labor metrics, analyzing trends and anomalies.
- Troubleshooting revenue recognition issues and supporting cost accounting processes.
- Generating reports for key performance results and labor metrics in systems like Kronos.
- Maintaining accurate job cost reporting and backlog management for job closeouts.
- Performing entries and reconciliations for accruals, commissions, and field service labor.
- Managing and reconciling cash positions, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activity.
- Coordinating fixed asset tracking and depreciation with OBE corporate finance.
- Providing analytical support for inventory management and cost efficiency projects.
- Collaborating with project managers, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Participating in special financial projects and process improvement initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
We’re seeking a detailed and proactive accounting professional who combines technical expertise with a collaborative approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent, detail-oriented, and team-focused mindset.
