Job DetailsJob Location: Westfalia Technologies - York, PA 17406Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayWestfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to join our dynamic software development team. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in translating customer needs into functional software that efficiently manages warehouse operations. This role requires extensive interaction with customers, as well as close collaboration with internal teams such as Sales, Apps Engineering, Project Management, Development, and Quality Assurance. The Business Analyst is expected to lead discussions, advocate for customer and internal team needs, take ownership of deliverables, and ensure commitments are followed through from definition to completion.   Job Functions: Lead customer requirement-gathering sessions, ask clarifying questions, and proactively surface risks, gaps, and tradeoffs. Ensure all SOWs and functional specifications are complete, reviewed, approved, and closed out according to process. Actively track open items and follow through until resolution. Hold stakeholders accountable to agreed-upon decisions and timelines. Escalate issues early when commitments or scope are at risk. Develop detailed functional specifications and generate comprehensive Scope of Work (SOW) documents for both minor adjustments and major software overhauls. Facilitate seamless collaboration and communication across project managers, developers, testers, customers, Sales, and Apps Engineering teams to ensure alignment with functional specifications throughout the project lifecycle. Actively participate in QA and UAT by validating expected behavior, reproducing issues, and confirming resolution. Lead training sessions for SOWs for end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-deployment, ensuring a smooth transition and solid understanding of the new functionalities. Coordinate the planning and scheduling of software deployments, and oversee the financial documentation for milestone invoicing to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. QualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead discussions, and advocate for customers and internal teams. Strong organizational skills with proven follow-through on commitments. Ability to listen, take detailed notes, retain information, and apply feedback. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining sharp attention to detail. Eagerness to learn and embrace new challenges, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.   Desired Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Prior experience in a role that requires requirements documentation, process definition, or software-related analysis. Exposure to software development, IT systems, or prior programming experience. Experience in warehouse management and automation software is desirable. Fluency in English is required; bilingual abilities in Spanish are considered an asset.   Physical Requirements: Clear and effective communication in English is essential Must possess visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens  Must be able to operate at a computer for long periods of time Desired: ability to work in-person in York, PA one day per week   Travel Requirements:  Availability to travel to customer sites for design discussions, when necessary. Expected travel: 0 – 6 weeks annually. This role may involve occasional travel to client sites (Approximately 15% of the time), conferences, and company events, both domestically and internationally. However, travel may increase or decrease based on project demands.   Location Requirements: Must live within a 100 mile radius of Westfalia Technologies Inc Headquarters and within the following states - DE, MD, NJ, PA.
