Position Summary: 

Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise systems and related applications, overseeing their creation, documentation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. Provide strategic input on key business initiatives and act as a liaison between Bank business units and system providers to support alignment and effective communication. Partner with the Chief Information Security Officer to support the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), including conducting desktop testing, gathering and organizing required information, and ensuring timely updates. Coordinate compliance-related activities, facilitate communication with appropriate management and staff, and analyze data to prepare reports and deliver meaningful insights and feedback to management and committees.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in new system implementation, conversions, system application upgrades and releases, and compliance within a retail or commercial banking environment.
  • 3+ years of experience building relationships with business partners and subject matter experts to elicit requirements, configure/administer systems and deploy effective solutions to solve business problems
  • Working knowledge of financial banking core systems, content management systems, and document preparation systems preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working in the financial services industry; strong business acumen and working knowledge of commercial and retail product origination and CRM strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proven capacity to understand complex business and technical concepts.
  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a solution-focused mindset
  • Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

Essential Duties:

 

 

 

Analyze, evaluate, and monitor the workflow of supported applications and systems, recommending, designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce defects, streamline processes, eliminate redundancy, and elevate overall quality. Provide insight and support for key business initiatives with a focus on data quality, customer experience, and risk management.

Develop and maintain standardized processes and procedures to ensure consistency across applications and systems. Serve as a subject matter expert to resolve issues promptly and effectively, collaborating with system providers to leverage full system capabilities. Support new product development, system upgrades, and enhancements, and work directly with vendor technical teams to troubleshoot issues.

Prepare and deliver reporting and metrics to business lines. Participate in business line meetings to fully understand technology needs and deliver actionable user information, process improvements, and effective solutions. Manage system conversions, upgrades, and releases by building test scripts, coordinating and executing user testing, and ensuring interfaces and components remain current and functional. Partner with business units to identify and map data structures, field definitions, and reporting requirements to support system and business needs.

Provide guidance to customer support and data teams. Coordinate testing and implementation of reporting solutions and stay informed of industry, legislative, and product changes that impact core and ancillary systems. Recommend updates to Bank policies, practices, and procedures to maintain compliance. Work with business units to ensure their Disaster Recovery Plans are accurate, documented, and tested annually.

Develop and oversee the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), ensuring accurate business impact analyses, training process owners, building and maintaining continuity testing strategies and schedules, and leading business continuity test execution. Track remediation activities and develop key performance and risk indicators for presentation to executive management.

Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the efficient flow of information. Provide relevant updates to supervisors, compile data as required, and respond to inquiries from Bank personnel and customers within established timelines and policy guidelines. Participate in ongoing coaching and development discussions to enhance communication, build action plans, and support continuous performance improvement.

Adhere to all laws and organizational policies designed to maintain a workplace free of harassment and discrimination. Support the Bank’s risk management practices, safety and soundness standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. Perform additional supportive tasks aligned with essential job functions as needed or as roles evolve.
