Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support Business Unit (BU) requirements to achieve the correct cost structure, launches on time and technical cost reduction initiatives of applicable projects.
  • Project Management for Launching (pursuing and awarded) business in Purchasing.
  • Drive Category Purchasing for results in RFQ’s, Kickoff, and on-time delivery to meet necessary milestones.
  • Participate and/or lead Technical Cost-Saving initiatives for the assigned/respective Projects.
  • Support Budget process for department and third-party costs.
  • Drive for continuous improvement of processes with a goal of reducing total costs.
  • Support in developing and implementing activities that are in alignment with Divisional and Corporate strategic Purchasing initiatives for the component area.
  • New Supplier search and development to support the BU Purchasing Projects
  • Create, manage, and support IPA projects from Purchasing input in North America (NA) which will be handled by NA BU Purchasing team.
  • Support for NA footprint strategy development and implementation.
  • Support NA Sustainability and Carbon Footprint Initiatives by driving suppliers toward implementation/compliance.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent related field.
  • 2+ years of Purchasing (or other relevant) experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with purchasing and negotiations & working in cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of managing complex projects under pressure, while meeting due dates, & targets.
  • Willingness to travel 15% of the time.
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
