We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Commissioning Technician I to join our Commissioning team. This is an entry-level role focused on foundational commissioning tasks and learning Westfalia’s systems. This position supports senior team members, assists with low-level testing, and builds technical skills through hands-on field experience.   Location Requirements: Must live in one of the following states to be considered: AR, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MS, NC, NE, NH, NJ, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, UT, VA, VT, WI.   Job Functions: Perform basic commissioning tasks including E-stop verification, I/O checks, and motor rotation tests. Assist with sensor adjustments and timer configurations. Learn to troubleshoot using schematics and meters. Support experienced engineers with mechanical/electrical adjustments. Develop knowledge of code-based troubleshooting. Participate in installer training and assist with installation audits. Work under guidance until independently capable of low-level commissioning tasks. QualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities:  Basic understanding of automation components. Willingness to learn and take initiative. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Fit for air travel and legal eligibility to rent and operate a rental vehicle through the company’s corporate account, in compliance with rental agency policies and insurance requirements.   Education and Experience:  0–2 years of relevant experience or formal training in controls or electrical systems.   Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in active industrial settings.
