The Emergency Department (ED) provides a medical screening exam and emergency medical care to all persons who present with a request for examination or treatment of a medical and/or psychiatric condition 24/7/365. The ED encompasses 69 rooms, 2 behavioral seclusion rooms, 8 results waiting recliners, 3 trauma bays and 3 triage rooms. There are an additional 8 rooms (including 2 quiet rooms) that comprise the dedicated Emergency Behavioral Health Suite.

Graduate Nurses are required to work rotating shifts for the duration of the orientation period for educational reasons. Primary shifts will be established at the end of the orientation period. 

Full-Time - 0.9 FTE/72 Hours Biweekly

Day/Evening/Night Shift - 0700-1900/1900-0700

Every 3rd Weekend; 1 Major, 1 Minor and 1 Split Holiday

Eligible for Shift & Weekend Differential

Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level within an assigned unit according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
