4 Southwest is a 56‑bed (44 high acuity med/surg beds, 12 IMCU beds) medical pulmonary and telemetry intermediate care unit that provides care for young adult through geriatric patients. Our team cares for individuals with a wide range of respiratory and cardiac conditions, including pneumonia, asthma/bronchitis, COPD, pulmonary embolism, stable angina, electrolyte imbalances, atrial fibrillation/flutter, congestive heart failure, and stable patients requiring ventilator support.
Patients are admitted based on their primary diagnosis, allowing us to place them in the most appropriate care environment from the start.
Hours: 0.9 FTE/ 72 Hours/Biweekly
Night Shift: 1900-0700Â
Every 3rd Weekend and Holiday Rotation, Required

General Summary
Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level within an assigned unit according to established procedures, protocols and regulations. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
