About the Position

We are seeking a Physical Security and Safety Coordinator to support the organization's physical security and workplace safety programs. This role coordinates physical security operations, access control administration, incident response, and safety compliance initiatives to ensure a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors. This role will serve as a liaison between Human Resources, Facilities, Information Security, and associates.

This position is required to be onsite at our York, PA office.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination

  • Support physical security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Track and maintain physical security and safety metrics, reporting and documentation.
  • Coordinate physical security and safety projects.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, HR, IT and Legal teams on physical security and safety initiatives.

Physical Security

  • Must be available for on-call responsibilities during emergencies or critical incidents.
  • Administer the employee badge and access control system (provisioning, changes, and terminations).
  • Coordinate physical access requests, badge issuance, and security permissions.
  • Manage and monitor building camera systems and video retention.
  • Retrieve and provide video footage for approved investigations.
  • Maintain physical security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Support incident response and workplace investigations.
  • Perform facility security assessments and risk reviews.

Safety & Emergency Preparedness

  • Develop and maintain emergency response and evacuation plans.
  • Coordinate and lead fire drills and preparedness exercises.
  • Serve as on-site point of contact during safety or security incidents.
  • Monitors compliance with federal, state and local safety regulations.
  • Coordinate safety training and awareness initiatives for employees.
  • Perform workplace inspections.

Vendor & Program Coordination

  • Manage relationships with physical security vendors, alarm providers, monitoring services, local fire and police departments.
  • Coordinate service requests, maintenance, and system improvements.
  • Participate in risk assessments and recommend physical security and safety enhancements.

 What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Security, Emergency Management, Safety Management or other related field or equivalent relevant work experience. 
  • Industry certifications such as Physical Security Professional, Certified Protection Professional or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in physical security, emergency management, corporate safety, facilities security, or related field. 
  • Experience in responding to incidents as part of an incident management team.
  • Hands-on experience managing access control systems and video surveillance platforms. 
  • Experience developing emergency response plans and conducting fire or evacuation drills.
  • Experience managing third-party physical security vendors.
  • Strong understanding of corporate safety, workplace security, and incident response practices.
  • Excellent communication, discretion, and judgment.
