Job Purpose
Effectively and efficiently run line to achieve the master schedule given and maintaining good quality, while
following and enforcing employees to follow Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by
company policy.
Essential Functions
ď‚· Responsibility to work and act safety in accordance with all policies
ď‚· Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing
Practices
 Direct team members on your line and watch to make sure they’re doing their job correctly. Review
people consistently and make changes if needed. Also, create “line ups” for every rotation and or
different cake. Make a “clean up list” so that everyone knows their clean up jobs.
ď‚· Set belt speeds and continuously evaluate and make any adjustments needed. Ex. Turn belt speed up if
you have gaps, down if people can’t keep up.
ď‚· Directs line operators and line workers to perform changeovers, and adjust all finishing department
equipment needed, or calls maintenance if needed.
 Complete all paperwork needed throughout shift. Ex. Master Sheet, downtime recorded, lot #’s,
damage papers, label check off papers, and packer check off papers.
ď‚· Follows and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work
areas and equipment as neat and clean as possible on an ongoing basis.
ď‚· Monitors equipment performance and reports damaged or faulty equipment to maintenance or
supervisor.
ď‚· Inspects quality of cakes constantly. Checks packaging, labels, and cartons to ensure everything is
correct according to spec, and report to supervisor or QA if not meeting spec qualifications.
ď‚· Solve problems! Must stay on your feet -always think ahead and direct people in advance but be able
to think quickly for unexpected situations.
ď‚· Monitor and record cake component weights, total cake weights, metal detector checks, and label
checks.
ď‚· Communicate constantly with baking lead and supervisor. Ex. Gap needed, cakes sticking, a lot of
damage, etc.
 Train and evaluate employees when needed and continually monitor employees’ hours.
ď‚· Motivates through positive re-enforcement.
ď‚· Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader,
supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality,
food safety, or regulatory requirements.
ď‚· Back up for this position is other Production Lead, Back up Lead and Production Supervisor

ď‚· Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
ď‚· High School diploma or equivalent
o Basic Math skills
o Must be able to read and write English
o Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun

occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
