Department Summary

7 South is a 32-bed oncology telemetry unit that specializes in the care of patients 18 years and older with medical oncology needs. They specialize in providing care to patient with palliative care and end of life care needs, and the administration of chemotherapy.

General Summary

Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
