4 Southwest is a 56-bed (12 IMCU beds and 44 high acuity med/surg beds) medical pulmonary and telemetry intermediate care unit.  4SW specializes in the care of patients 18 years and older with a variety of acute medical diagnoses, some requiring mechanical ventilation, CPAP/Bipap, and high flow oxygen,  and patients requiring intermediate level of care. 

Hours: 0.9 FTE/ 72 Hours/Biweekly

Shift: 1900-0700/0700-1900

Every 3rd Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required

Sign-On Bonus Eligible; Shift and Weekend Differential Pay Eligible

General Summary

Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
