Job Summary:Ā Ā Ā 

This position is responsible for the coordination of Rerolling activities. Responsibilities will include: Prioritizing jobs to meet on-time shipments, maximize resource efficiency, assist with quality checks, ERP transactions, coordinating breaks to eliminate downtime, ensuring daily work instruction adherence, and providing general direction to Reroller Operators and Assistants. Oversees and ensures timely and complete execution of on-the-job-training for Reroller Operators and Assistants. This position requires routine attendance to departmental, production, safety and Company meetings.Ā

  • Coordinate work across all rerolling resources to meet 99% on time shipment targetĀ 
  • Combine released order to improve operational efficiency.Ā 
  • Pre-stage material for rerollersĀ 
  • Ensure operators are trained in and perform the required safety and quality checksĀ 
  • Ensure the timely completion of OJT checklists for Operators and AssistantsĀ 
  • Verify that area is restocked at end of shiftĀ Ā 
  • Correct data entry error as neededĀ

Operate machine with minimal supervision to reroll material: Ā 
  • Conduct a visual inspection and perform general preventive maintenance of the assigned machineĀ 
  • Set machine to run required thickness to ordered lengthĀ 
  • Power on machineĀ 
  • Feed peeled material through machineĀ 
  • Fulfill order according to production order roll lengthĀ 
  • Plastic wrap finished roll as requiredĀ 
  • Place scrap material in regrind bin or dumpsterĀ 
  • Print Production log ID labelsĀ 
  • ID and stage finished roll for put-away using appropriate equipment and label as requiredĀ 
  • Core preparation responsibilities (apply tape, apply foam wedges, etc.)Ā

Adhere to and follow all quality guidelines.Ā  Insure that all operators continually check product for quality throughout the manufacturing process and that the measurement and chart comparison documentation is filled out properly.Ā

Ā Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Ā Ā Ā 

  • High School Diploma/GED requiredĀ 
  • 4 years of machine operator/manufacturing experience required; 1 year rerolling experience requiredĀ 
  • English fluency (read, write, speak); strong communication skills required (written/verbal)
  • Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
  • Read and understand units of measure
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
  • Able to safely perform related physical requirements/demands of the role
  • 12-months forklift and hoist experience required
  • Demonstrated computer literacy (inventory data entry, read work orders, etc.); ERP experience preferredĀ
