Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Agent in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry activity, verify credentials, and support security-related protocols for team members and visitors. This role blends professionalism, communication, and customer service while using technology to document activity and report concerns. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, processing deliveries, and documenting arrivals and departures in accordance with location protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including warehouses, loading areas, docks, and perimeter points, to help identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor gates, doors, trailer yards, and high-traffic areas to help support the orderly movement of employees, visitors, and/or drivers throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
