Software Engineer II

Responsibilities / Tasks

GEA Systems North America LLC. is seeking a Software Developer II- Control Systems Development in York, PA to Corrects production problems by analyzing applications or systems to determine the cause and effect of the malfunction; Changes programs and systems to prevent recurrence; Modifies existing computer systems and schedules, writes and runs special programs; Evaluates systems to determine that all corrections have been properly made; Designing, developing, and maintaining customer orientated software solutions, like sales software; Core developer on a web-based, digital transformation application that links various databases (SQL, Azure, etc.) to customers; Working within Agile/Scrum environment; Troubleshooting and bug fixing of internal software tools; and Maintains integrity of software through proper documentation and backup. This is a hybrid position.

25% of domestic and international travel to client sites.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable), and 48 months of experience in job offered or related field, including four (4) years of progressive responsibility with the following experience: Knowledge of MS Visual Studio, GIT, MS Office Suite, MS Teams, CI/CD, Cloud Computing, Scrum/Agile Methodologies, TypeScript, and Software Frameworks.

Alternative Experience: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 12 months of experience in job offered or related field. including one (1) year of progressive responsibility with the following experience: Knowledge of MS Visual Studio, GIT, MS Office Suite, MS Teams, CI/CD, Cloud Computing, Scrum/Agile Methodologies, TypeScript, and Software Frameworks.
