The role, at a glance
This position focuses on structural modeling, drafting, and design support across a range of projects. You’ll work alongside project managers and engineers to develop construction documents, coordinate with other disciplines, and build your technical expertise through hands-on project experience.
What you’ll do
- Develop structural models and construction documents from schematic design through construction documentation
- Perform structural detailing and support design development
- Collect and verify field information to inform accurate design
- Assist with shop drawing and submittal reviews, and respond to RFIs
- Support QA/QC efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency in project deliverables
- Coordinate with architecture, MEP, and civil teams to align design across disciplines
- Participate in clash detection and coordination as required by project scope
- Maintain organized design files and documentation throughout each phase
- Follow and contribute to Warehaus standards for drawing production and file management
- Coordinate with external consultants as needed
- Assist with project closeout documentation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of structural design or production experience preferred
- Proficiency in Revit
- Working knowledge of structural analysis/design tools such as RISA, RAM, or Enercalc a plus
- EIT certification or actively pursuing licensure preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
