About the Role:
Kendall Plumbing & Heating Co Inc is looking for a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team in Yorkville, IL! This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your technical expertise to a trusted local company where your work makes a real difference for homeowners and businesses every day.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
- Install and commission new HVAC equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues efficiently
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to customers
- Complete service documentation, work orders, and maintenance logs accurately
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory in good working order
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on HVAC service and repair experience
- EPA 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification required
- Solid knowledge of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle on-call duties
