Job DetailsJob Location: Young Harris, GA 30582The Full-Time Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Young Harris College will assist the head coach in all aspects of the program, including on-field coaching, recruiting qualified student-athletes, player development, and team administrative responsibilities. Competing in Conference Carolinas and NCAA Division II, Young Harris values and emphasizes a holistic experience for student-athletes, requiring an assistant coach who can be a mentor, foster a positive team culture, and ensure compliance with all College and NCAA DII regulations. This position also involves engaging in community outreach, assisting with fundraising efforts, and collaborating with individuals across campus. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with practice planning, scouting reports, and player development. Coordinate a specific area of the field (offense or defense) at a high level. Recruit qualified student-athletes. Work closely with student-athletes to develop individual and team lacrosse skills. Promote high academic achievement within the program through team study halls and academic meetings. Support and organize team logistics, scheduling, film breakdown, and travel coordination. Foster a disciplined team culture. Qualifications Collegiate playing or coaching experience required. Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Candidates must exhibit the ability to build professional relationships with student-athletes and other staff members. Strong communication with the coaching staff and team are essential. They must demonstrate a commitment to adhere to Young Harris College, Conference Carolinas, and NCAA DII rules and regulations. Candidates must be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Young Harris College is proud of its Wesleyan heritage and commitment.
