- Responsible for the readiness of the equipment and machines and all buildings and grounds concerns.
- Stock and track replacement and consumable machine parts.
- Perform general housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Maintain and trouble shoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems equipment and components.
- Utilize electric testing devices/meters while performing maintenance duties.
- Operate lift truck for maintenance.
- Operate grinders, drill presses, conduit bending machines/devices, and other powered shop equipment and hand tools.
- Monitor and maintain electrical equipment associated with plant.
- Assist & perform preventative maintenance duties & troubleshoot.
- Assist other technicians in troubleshooting and diagnosing plant concerns as well as repairs of breakdowns as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems - both routine and complex - using a defined method of troubleshooting to get to root cause.
- Help the team maintain equipment records.
- Individuals should have a mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Must furnish their own basic set of tools and know how to properly operate and maintain tools to always keep them in safe working order.
- Compliance with all LOTO procedures and all other Safety Policies.
- Complete special projects, duties and assignments, as appropriate and where directed.
- Degree / Certification in technical field is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 5 – 10 years maintenance or related-industry experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to work Overtime, Weekends, and Nights.
- Able to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to safely use a multi-meter tool to trouble shoot electrical systems.
- Familiar with personal computers. Experience with CMMS software is a plus!
- Knowledge of various power tools and their proper use.
- Requires experience in mechanical installation and maintenance work on plant electrical systems and equipment.
- The ability to work in a team environment and be initiative-taking, accept responsibilities, complete assigned action items, and take part proactively in all team events.
- Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency.
- Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful.
