About the role:

As an Engineering inter you will work in equipment design, maintenance, and project management.

 

You will report to the RES Engineering Manager and be located at our Madison facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Rotating Equipment Services (RES) Engineers for daily task related to refurbishment of large pumps, motors, and seal components for the world-wide nuclear fleet
  • Participate in project / department team meetings and complete assigned action items
  • Support field service engineers for project preparations related to outage maintenance activities world-wide
  • Complete internship training for a wholistic view of the Westinghouse organization and career opportunities
  • Gain access to a Radiological Controlled Area (RCA) for maintenance of major Nuclear Power Plant components
  • Perform work while directly supporting an assigned mentor for training and collaboration

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or general engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
