GSRP Lead Preschool Teacher


Gretchen's House is seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the early educational experiences of young children. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines

- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development

- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating with parents and guardians

- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community

- Ensure compliance with all licensing, safety, and health regulations

- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to enhance teaching practices

- Support inclusive education by adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs


Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field

- Valid teaching certification or licensure for preschool or early childhood education

- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a lead teacher role

- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate instructional strategies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children and families

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to early childhood education

- Knowledge of HighScope Curriculum 

- HighScope certification preferred

Requirements

  • Preferred BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education/Early Childhood, or closely related field.
  • Experience working in a group care setting along with supervisory experience
  • Immunization requirements: MMR, Tdap, Hep B, Varicella, Annual influenza
