A stylist-in-training is a position designed to introduce soon to graduate cosmetology school students to the salon environment and help them learn the business. Job duties include:
- communicating effectively with customers and coworkers
- observe manager and other stylists at work and asking questions
- answer phones, perform reception duties, sanitizing tools and light cleaning duties
- ability to work in a fast paced salon environment
- open to learning new techniques
- graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license to perform salon services within 30 days of hire

Requirements
- Ability to cut hair for an extended period and provide quality haircuts in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to follow the 5 Steps to Customer Care with every customer, every time, in every salonÂ
- Ability to efficiently and effectively resolve customer issues
- Skill to listen and understand what the customer wants
- Skill to use a computer to track customer information
- Dedication to great customer service
- Be able to lift up to 35 lbs
