Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and evaluating the maintenance department personnel and supervising equipment modifications, repairs, and fabrication at the Gowan Milling Plant. This role involves advanced troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, and coordination with plant department heads to schedule maintenance activities. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supervise and evaluate the performance of maintenance department personnel.
• Oversee equipment modification, repair, and fabrication.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for plant equipment and systems.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with plant department heads to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Generate and maintain detailed work instructions and maintenance documentation.
• Supervise contractors and personnel assigned to plant maintenance projects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industrial codes and standards in all maintenance operations.
• Maintain working knowledge of company policies and ensure adherence to them in the maintenance department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or certification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience / Skills / Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions in English.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial process and packaging equipment maintenance and repair.
• Experience in equipment fabrication and modification techniques.
• Familiarity with applicable industrial codes, standards, and safety protocols.
• Ability to manage and supervise a team, ensuring that maintenance goals are met efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in contractor supervision and management of plant projects.
