Responsibilities

As our Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN, you will:

• Provide orientation and clinical training for new employees
• Conduct monthly live training sessions and hands-on skills fairs
• Track staff training, competencies, and regulatory requirements in Relias
• Perform competency evaluations and identify individual staff education needs
• Lead and support our Mentor Program
• Administer the center’s Infection Prevention and Control Program
• Monitor, investigate, and report infections and communicable diseases
• Educate staff on infection prevention and control practices
• Help maintain compliance with state and federal requirements

Qualifications

• ASN or higher in Nursing required
• Active, unrestricted NC RN license required
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Long-term care/SNF experience or clinical education/staff development experience strongly preferred
• CDC IPCO certification required or willingness to obtain within 5 days of employment

Our center features private and semi-private rooms, landscaped grounds, 7-day admissions, a rehabilitation gym, and therapy services available up to 7 days a week.

Graduate of an accredited school of NursingValid state licensure as an RN or LPNMinimum of two years’ experience as an Infection Preventionist or related healthcare experience with knowledge of patient care practices, microbiology, infectious diseases, and epidemiology.Completion of Infection Prevention training/IPCO Certification prior to assuming the role.CIC or APIC preferred.
