Description

Fisher Associates is hiring a Transportation Construction Inspector in Zelienople, PA to support PennDOT highway and bridge construction projects.


This role is ideal for candidates with NICET certification or PennDOT construction inspection experience who want to work on impactful transportation infrastructure projects.

What you will do:

  • Perform on-site construction inspections to ensure work meets plans, specifications, and standards
  • Verify compliance with PennDOT specifications and federal/state regulations
  • Document inspections with photos, field notes, and reports
  • Prepare clear inspection reports identifying findings and corrective actions
  • Communicate with contractors, engineers, and project managers regarding construction activities
  • Monitor materials, workmanship, and installation quality
  • Identify and report deviations from plans or specifications
  • Evaluate construction sites for safety compliance and hazard prevention
  • Provide guidance on corrective actions for non-compliant work
  • Participate in project meetings and provide inspection updates

Requirements

Qualifications

  • NICET II (or higher) or PennDOT equivalent experience required
  • PennDOT Concrete Certification preferred
  • NECEPT Asphalt Certification preferred
  • PennDOT Guide Rail Installation, Inspection & Maintenance certification preferred
  • Experience performing construction inspection on transportation projects
  • Knowledge of PennDOT specifications, construction standards, and QA/QC principles
  • Ability to manage project priorities effectively

  • Travel to assigned project site required
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
