Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add an In-house Trainer to their team support the workshop / offshore services team.

This is a newly created role and you’ll be working closely with an In-house Assessor, and In-house Verifier to ensure training delivery is met. 

Initially, this will be a 6-month FTC position, however potential for ongoing work after this period. This would suit candidates who are either retired, in-between roles, or full-time employees who are looking to reduce to part-time hours.

Hours: 8am – 5pm (3 days per week)

Salary: £45k – £55k (pro rata)

Daily Duties –

  • Overseeing on-going training, competency assessments, and best practices to support all levels of workshop-based employees e.g. Trainees, Mid-Level, and Senior Technicians
  • Deliver technical training courses to small group of personnel
  • Communicate confidently with all levels of management to provide update on training programmes and schedules 

Candidate Requirements –

  • Previous experience within workshop or offshore (ideally) environments working “on the tools”
  • Knowledge of either hydraulic systems, riser systems, power units, or downhole equipment 
  • Experience within a training industry or capable delivering training confidently
  • Familiarity with competence assessment processes (desirable)
  • Able to follow work instructions and procedures
