The Client:

A global leader in environmental monitoring and instrumentation solutions is expanding its Service Department and seeking a Service Technician to be trained and developed within the Particle Counter and Electronic industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience or a base understanding in calibration, diagnostics, and repair of precision instruments or electronics down to a component level looking to pursue a career in a rapidly expanding industry.

The Package:

  • Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours/week)
  • 20–25% travel to customer sites and regional offices

The Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on instrumentation and particle counters
  • Analyse service data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Communicate technical issues and resolutions to internal teams
  • Report recurring service trends to support product development
  • Provide on-site service support as required (20–25% travel

The Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of experience in technical service, instrumentation, or electronics
  • Proficiency in Electronic Testing, Circuit Boards, PCB assembly
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
  • Familiarity with electronic components and basic repair techniques
  • Eagerness to learn develop and grow long term, participate in training and development when necessary.
  • Educated to a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 or Degree in a relevant field
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office and service tracking software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical teams
  • Associate degree or vocational training in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Full UK License
