Description

  • Manage and process payroll operations accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and employment laws
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions and benefits
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile payroll accounts
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required
  • Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and industry standards
  • Support with the training of more junior members of the team

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Experience in payroll processing
  • Knowledge of payroll software and accounting systems
  • A solid understanding of tax regulations and employment laws
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of managing/training individuals is desirable but not essential
