Project Manager - Battery R&D - Oxford - Up to £45/hr - Inside IR35

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for battery R&D initiatives, ensuring seamless alignment with research milestones and commercialisation timelines.
  • Coordinate with researchers, engineers, and project leaders to streamline prototype development and experimental validation.
  • Utilise tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 to create Gantt charts, critical path analyses, and risk registers for effective project tracking.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks and bottlenecks, proposing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by summarising and sharing complex technical data with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs in a dynamic, high-pressure environment while maintaining a results-driven approach.

What You Will Bring:

  • A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management/scheduling within R&D, advanced materials, or battery technology sectors.
  • A formal project management qualification such as PMP or PMI-SP, with expertise in technical or research settings. 
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and familiarity with Agile or Stage-Gate methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Primavera P6 knowledge preferred.
