Machine Operator 

Hours: Full-time, 12-hour shifts (Mon–Thurs, 7am–7pm)
 

Due to continued growth and a very busy workload, we are urgently recruiting Slitter Machine Operators to join our team on a permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities

• Operating a Slitter/Spooler machine

• Packing finished products, including wrapping, weighing and palletising

• Accurately recording data using the in-house computer system

• Following work instructions and customer specifications

• Working efficiently in line with daily priority lists

• Meeting or exceeding safety, waste and quality performance standards

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment

Subsidiary Duties

• Carrying out any additional tasks as directed by a Supervisor or Manager

• Actively supporting initiatives and improvement projects

• Understanding and following all procedures relevant to the role

Key Skills & Requirements

Essential

• Previous machine experience (full training for this specific role provided)

• Regular manual handling ability and strong manual dexterity

• Flexibility to work days/nights and weekends if required

• Good numeracy and literacy skills

• Ability to work independently

• Comfortable working in a busy factory environment

Desirable

• Basic IT skills

• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Hours

• 12-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday (7am–7pm)

• Overtime available once fully trained
