Early Careers and Apprenticeship Manager – Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve early careers frameworks, apprenticeships, and entry-level programmes aligned to our business goals and culture.
  • Lead engagement with schools, colleges, universities, and external partners to build strong, diverse talent pipelines and promote our employer brand.
  • Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of apprentices and early careers colleagues to ensure a best-in-class experience.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and pastoral support for participants, supporting their wellbeing, progression, and retention.
  • Support managers and teams in developing their capability to nurture and develop early careers talent, equipping them with inclusive leadership skills.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as participation, accreditation, completion rates, and career progression to measure success and impact.
  • Keep up to date with apprenticeship levy funding, qualification standards, and early careers best practice – ensuring we remain compliant, innovative, and competitive.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion, actively removing barriers and creating accessible opportunities for all.
Building Partnerships and Employer Brand in Early Talent
  • Act as ambassador for our early careers and apprentice programmes, strengthening our reputation with education and skills partners.
  • Attend career fairs, networking events, and community outreach initiatives to attract a wide range of aspiring candidates.
  • Work closely with marketing and communications teams to deliver engaging content and success stories that inspire future applicants.
Driving Inclusion, Learning and Wellbeing for Future Talent
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment so all early talent can reach their potential and feel valued from day one.
  • Help shape learning interventions, workshops, and support resources tailored to the needs of apprentices and new starters from all backgrounds.
  • Listen openly to feedback from participants and managers – acting promptly to address concerns and celebrate success.
Early Careers and Apprenticeship Manager – Ideal Experience and Capabilities
  • Hands-on knowledge of designing, implementing or managing apprenticeships or early careers schemes, ideally in a commercial setting.
  • Understanding of apprenticeship funding, frameworks, and statutory requirements.
