Do you have the resilience and empathy to help pupils manage their behaviour, build trust, and achieve their potential?A dedicated Alternative Provision is seeking a Pastoral Mentor to join their team full-time. This vital role involves working closely with students who may present with social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties, providing both structured mentoring and pastoral care to help them re-engage with learning.

The Role:* Providing daily pastoral support to pupils across the school.* Acting as a mentor and positive role model, building trusting relationships with young people.* Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.* Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders to implement individual support plans.* Helping to create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:* Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or behavioural challenges.* A calm, patient, and non-judgemental approach.* Strong communication and de-escalation skills.* A background in education, youth work, or mentoring (formal qualifications are desirable but not essential).* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
