Randstad is searching for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant and 1:1 Support Professional to join our partner schools in the Accrington area starting this September!

The Role: Key Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both individually and in small groups.

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and assist with classroom management.

  • Implement and help develop individualized learning plans.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic student support.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach.

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).

  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification, which are highly beneficial.
