Professional Manufacturing Engineers - Contract
AWE | On-Site Role
60/hour | Full-Time | Long-Term Contract
We are currently seeking highly skilled Professional Manufacturing Engineers to support projects at AWE, one of the UK's most secure and technically demanding nuclear sites.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced manufacturing within a nuclear safety-regulated environment, contributing to complex, high-integrity systems with national significance.

Role Overview

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers
  • Perform peer reviews and technical checking to ensure delivery of high-quality design outputs
  • Support manufacturing and design activities using a combination of digital tools and quality systems
  • Apply nuclear safety principles in accordance with DSA03-DNSR requirements
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle


Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree-qualified in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Physics, etc.)
  • Strong experience in a nuclear safety-regulated environment
  • Proficient in FMEA and quality tools such as SPC
  • Familiarity with NX, TCE, and Primavera P6 (basic knowledge sufficient)
  • Experience using Teamcenter for PLM activities
  • Expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as:
    • Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect
    • IBM DOORS
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in a secure environment under strict compliance standards

  • Rate: 60/hour
  • Duration: Ongoing long-term contract
  • Security Clearance: Must hold DV clearance
