About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? Long Term Futures are looking for a committed and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Alfreton. You'll be working with pupils aged 2 to 19 who have complex learning difficulties, including autism and other developmental needs. This role involves working closely with teachers and therapists to help students achieve their individual learning goals in a safe, engaging environment.


Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering tailored learning plans to meet individual pupil needs
* Provide social and emotional support to pupils throughout the school day
* Use communication tools such as PECS and Makaton effectively
* Support the wider teaching team and contribute to a positive classroom environment
* Promote inclusion and ensure a safe and supportive setting for all pupils

* Familiarity with SEN strategies and communication methods (PECS, Makaton, etc.)
* Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake training
