Production Planner

Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 7JR
Salary: Competitive, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We're now looking for a proactive and experienced Production Planner to join our growing Supply Chain team and help us deliver on time, every time.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Review and act on MRP recommendations to release production orders across the product range
  • Collaborate with Production to plan capacity and schedule work effectively
  • Prepare and manage sales order data to support order fulfilment
  • Monitor daily production orders to ensure smooth processing and OTIF (On Time in Full) targets
  • Communicate with Sales regarding any fulfilment delays due to stock availability
  • Identify and help resolve production process issues and bottlenecks
  • Ensure all sales orders are invoiced and shipped on the day of dispatch
  • Collaborate with the Production Planning Analyst to implement and maintain forward planning
  • Own and maintain documentation relating to production planning, including SOPs and work instructions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across end-to-end business processes

What You'll Need:

  • A solid understanding of manufacturing and production processes
  • At least 2 years' experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and Excel.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, working across multiple stakeholders
  • A tenacious, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Passion for continuous improvement and delivering results
