About the Role:
Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our busy Children and Families team in the Amber Valley locality. This key frontline role involves managing a caseload that includes Single Assessments, Children in Need (CIN), and Child Protection (CP) cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of Single Assessments, CIN, and CP cases

  • Work collaboratively within the team to support children and families

  • Undertake court work and engage with legal processes as required

  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding and child protection practice

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying frontline Social Work experience

  • Proven experience working within child protection and safeguarding

  • Experience in court work and understanding of legal processes related to children's social care

  • Ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload efficiently
