Nursery Deputy Manager

Location: Alloa

Salary: Minimum £14 per hour (To be discussed in an interview)

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time

Little Stars Nursery is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team in providing high-quality care and education to young children.

The Role

To support the manager in the smooth running of the setting this will include but is not inclusive of:

  • Demonstrating outstanding practice
  • Supporting the staff team in developing practise though modelling and or training
  • Liaising with parents and other professional agencies to support children’s learning
  • Reviewing policy and procedure and ensuring policy is followed at all times
  • Taking the lead in the absence of the manager
  • Understanding the needs of the business
  • To understand registers/booking systems including funding
  • To conduct supervision interviews and support staff to reach targets

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification
  • Team player able to step into Managers role within 12 months
  • Management experience
  • Evidence of ongoing personal development training
  • Desire to continue with professional development
  • Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of child development and the EYFS
