Are you a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing civil engineering or water infrastructure projects? A leading Tier One Contractor, working on Southern Water projects, is seeking a dynamic Contract Manager to join their team and oversee projects across Hampshire and West Sussex.

The Role
As a Contract Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for financial control, health and safety compliance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while upholding the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Planning:
路Develop detailed project plans to ensure seamless delivery.
路Oversee procurement processes to avoid delays and ensure value for money.
路Ensure site teams adhere to commercial policies and procedures.
路Analyse progress reports, costs, and forecasts to drive project efficiency.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
路Lead by example to promote health, safety, and environmental best practices.
路Conduct senior manager site inspections and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.

Quality Assurance:
路Oversee the creation and maintenance of QA documentation.
路Promote best practices across all projects.
Customer Relations:
路Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
路Lead progress meetings and ensure the minimal community impact of projects.
Key Metrics:
路Timely project delivery within budget and without safety incidents.
路Adherence to deadlines and company objectives.
路Accurate and timely reporting of progress and costs.

About You
We're looking for someone with a solid background in managing civil engineering projects, particularly in the water sector. Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and a focus on health and safety are essential.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
路Extensive project management experience in a civil/water environment.
路Proficiency with NEC contracts and MS Projects (P6 experience is advantageous).
路HNC/HND/Degree in a related field (or equivalent).
路SMSTS and CSCS certifications.
路Excellent people management and mentoring skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
路Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE or equivalent).
路NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
