Are you a commercially driven leader with experience managing high-value infrastructure projects? We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to take the lead on major capital delivery projects within the UK water industry.
This permanent role is based in Hampshire and offers hybrid working for greater flexibility. You’ll be responsible for commercially managing complex infrastructure projects valued at around £150 million, providing strategic leadership across contract management, budgeting, risk mitigation, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with business and project objectives
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure robust contract governance (e.g. NEC)
- Identify and manage commercial risks, changes, and client claims
- Control project budgets and drive cost efficiency
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and joint venture partners
- Mentor and lead the commercial team across multiple project phases
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience in a commercial management role, ideally within water or infrastructure
- Proven success managing projects valued at £100m+
- Expert in contract and risk management (especially NEC frameworks)
- Demonstrable joint venture or alliance experience
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to embed positive delivery culture across commercial teams
