The Role:
As a Private Client Tax Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of HNWIs, business owners, and private clients, ensuring high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services. You’ll also play a key leadership role within the tax team, helping to guide and support junior and part-qualified staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance
- Provide advisory support on capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts, residence/domicile, and other private client matters
- Review tax returns prepared by junior staff and support their technical development
- Work closely with the partners on more complex advisory projects
- Assist in the training, mentoring, and day-to-day management of junior team members
- Maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service delivery
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and best practice
What We’re Looking For:
- CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in personal/private client tax, ideally from a practice background
- Confident reviewing returns and providing technical guidance to junior staff
- Able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to work from the office with flexibility around personal commitments
- Experience with tax software and Microsoft Office
