About the Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of subjects
- Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Science, alongside foundation subjects such as History, Geography, Art, Music, PE and Design & Technology
- Ensure pupils develop a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and understanding across all areas of the curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to participate
- Promote a culture of mutual respect, curiosity, and active learning
- Monitor and track pupil progress, identifying areas where additional support or challenge is needed
- Use a variety of assessment methods such as classwork, tests, projects, and observations—to evaluate learning
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to help students recognise their strengths and target areas for improvement
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
- Recent and relevant experience teaching across Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6), with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of KS2 pupils
- Excellent classroom management skills, maintaining a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment
- Strong subject knowledge in core areas such as English, Mathematics, and Science, as well as foundation subjects
- Ability to assess pupil progress effectively, using formative and summative assessment to inform teaching
