Job Title: Healthcare Assistant – Independent Living

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support individuals living independently within a supported living or independent living scheme. The successful candidate will assist residents with daily living activities, promote autonomy, and help ensure a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment tailored to individual needs.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about person-centred care and promoting independence in adults with varying levels of support needs, including the elderly and those with physical or mild cognitive impairments

Location: Amersham

Hours: Flexi - Days, nights, Weekends
Shifts: Monday - Sunday (Flexi shifts ) - You choose your shifts
Pay: £13.00 to £15.00 per hour (Depending on shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner, including assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
  • Support residents with medication administration (as per training and guidelines).
  • Promote and encourage independence in daily tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and social activities.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
  • Support residents in accessing community services, appointments, and leisure activities, fostering social inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and health & safety protocols at all times.
  • Uphold residents’ rights to privacy, dignity, and choice
