I'm partnering exclusively with a valued client to recruit an experienced Production Team Leader to join their fast-paced manufacturing operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a natural leader with a hands-on approach and a passion for motivating and developing high-performing teams.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure the working practices and duties are carried out in line with current health and safety legislation and company policies
  • Identify any skill gaps and ensure the team are trained to maintain a minimum qualified level of resource to achieve business needs
  • Lead, motivate and influence team members to achieve daily quality and production targets
  • Ensure the team are effectively used on the line - rotating where needed and deploying skills where they are needed
  • Encourage and support the team, raising and resolving issues quickly and effectively using company policies and leadership skills
  • Partner departmental functions within the business to ensure smooth operating practices
  • Positively coach team members to fulfil the business objectives
  • Record and share shift performance with the team and management
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the production environment contributing to continuous improvement initiatives where possible
  • Be a positive influence on the team and provide constructive feedback to them and other key roles
  • Encourage the company values are being adhered to and ensure they are being demonstrated in a leading by example approach
