A highly successful business is seeking a Regulatory Accountant to join their team, working mostly remotely, with the occasional need to travel to Hampshire for office meetings.Your RoleWhile in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Preparing quarterly Solvency UK capital requirement calculations, including balance sheets
  • Liaising with external advisors relating to the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA), ensuring knowledge surrounding the topic is kept up to date
  • Producing both annual and quarterly statements for Solvency UK, adhering to the PRA requirements
  • Handling responses to the external audit information requests from Solvency UK
  • Actioning the annual solvency and financial condition report, quarterly reporting template schedules to the PRA and the regular supervisory report to the PRA, as needed
  • Managing both data requests and the provision of finance data requirements into IT system changes in order to improve the calculation of solvency report
  • Reviewing on a secondary basis, the reconciliations and controls in relation to UK SOX transition, ensuring internal control and risk assessments are handled as needed
  • Providing expert advice on the capital impact of major investment proposals
  • Reporting on and providing forecasting for the overall solvency position of the business, and providing narrative on any available surplus funds for investment
  • Keeping an eye on solvency risk ratios
  • Supporting the input and running of internal actuarial models
  • Providing capital projects to support business planning
  • Keeping abreast of technical solvency changes, ensuring these are relayed to the business and that impact assessments and training is provided 
You MUST HavePlease apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Degree or finance qualification
  • Very strong knowledge and experience in Solvency UK and regulatory reporting
  • Knowledge of investments
  • Experience within the financial services sector
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fantastic problem-solving abilities
  • An aptitude for IT systems and tools, including Microsoft Office
