Play a key role in keeping finance operations running smoothly during a 3-month period of absence cover. This is a hands-on Accounts Assistant role where you’ll take responsibility for tracking and reporting on assets and working closely with teams across the business. The set-up is flexible – hybrid working is available, and you can structure your day around core hours of 10am–3pm.You’ll be joining a large, family-owned manufacturing business with a collaborative culture and a strong focus on getting things done efficiently. If you’re organised, confident with systems, and enjoy working across departments, this short-term opportunity will give you the chance to make a real difference.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing the full asset lifecycle – from procurement and refurbishment to deployment and reconciliation
  • Updating real-time asset tracking using Dynamics365 and Salesforce
  • Monitoring stock and repair activity to help keep inventory levels accurate
  • Collaborating with finance, procurement, logistics, customer service and commercial teams
  • Producing monthly analysis on asset usage, refurbishment trends and financial impact
  • Preparing weekly capitalisation reports summarising asset movements
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Assistant / Assistant Management Accountant / Finance Assistant / Assistant Accountant
  • Experience managing budgets or working with inventory/stock/assets
  • Strong Excel and system skills – Dynamics 365 or Salesforce experience is a plus
  • A methodical and organised mindset with great attention to detail
  • Confidence working across different teams and communicating clearly
